Values
Four principles that govern our practice
Community benefit first
The asset lock is not a formality. Every engagement is tested against the community it is meant to serve.
Rigour over rhetoric
We publish method, data and limitations. Claims that cannot be evidenced are not made.
Structural honesty
We tell organisations what is actually wrong, including when the answer is not to hire us.
Proportionate practice
A £40k community group and a national contractor need different governance. We calibrate.
Accountability
How responsibility is held
Crescent Covenant CIC is governed by a board of directors operating under an asset lock, with defined delegation and published reporting.
Board of directors
Sets strategy, approves the annual plan and holds the asset lock. Decisions and conflicts are recorded in a published register.
Community interest test
Every engagement is tested against the community benefit stated in our CIC36 before it is accepted.
Annual reporting
A CIC34 community interest report is filed each year alongside our own impact reporting against published indicators.
